Grassroot Soccer is an adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. Adolescents are being left behind in the fight against disease and other critical health challenges. Unlike childhood mortality which has improved 80% in the past 50 years, adolescent mortality hasn’t budged. Preventable diseases like HIV, and complications from pregnancies continue to be the leading causes of death among adolescents. There is a tremendous opportunity to improve the world’s health by promoting healthy practices during adolescence, and taking steps to better protect young people from health risks. To date, we have graduated over 2,000,000 at-risk youth through our programs in over 50 countries. Every $25 raised gives one at-risk youth access to Grassroot Soccer’s award-winning adolescent health programming and our Caring Coaches who change lives every day!
Leveling the Playing Field gives underprivileged children the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports participation. They do this through the donation of used and excess sporting equipment to programs and schools serving low income communities. Their donations allow programs to allocate funds saved by lowering registration fees, expanding their scholarship programs, enhancing their existing athletic program and/or developing new ones.
Pitch In For Baseball® (PIFB) is a registered 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to boys and girls in the United States and around the world who want to play ball but lack the equipment to do so.
PIFB reduces barriers to play and promotes youth development by providing equipment directly to leagues, schools, and organizations around the world to start, continue, and/or expand their programs. Over the past 12 years, Pitch In For Baseball has donated more than $7 million worth of equipment to 700,000 under-resourced kids in nearly every state in the U.S. and 90 different countries internationally.
Roberto’s Kids is an international nonprofit organization named after Roberto Clemente. Our mission is social responsibility through baseball. This is accomplished through the collection of baseball equipment in the US and Canada which is distributed to disadvantaged youth in Latin America, the US, Canada and countries around the World.
