Description of Organization:

Pitch In For Baseball® (PIFB) is a registered 501(c)(3) not for profit organization that provides new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to boys and girls in the United States and around the world who want to play ball but lack the equipment to do so.
PIFB reduces barriers to play and promotes youth development by providing equipment directly to leagues, schools, and organizations around the world to start, continue, and/or expand their programs. Over the past 12 years, Pitch In For Baseball has donated more than $7 million worth of equipment to 700,000 under-resourced kids in nearly every state in the U.S. and 90 different countries internationally.

Bnai Mitzvah Projects or Volunteer Opportunities offered by the organization for children ages 11 - 13:

The majority of our volunteer opportunities come from kids, families, and organizations who choose to run equipment collection drives on behalf of PIFB. We have kids and organizations who run collections for us all across the country and we can easily facilitate them dropping off or shipping the equipment to one of our two warehouse locations in PA and Los Angeles. Kids often choose PIFB as their charitable organization for Mitzvah projects, Eagle Scout or Girl Scout projects, confirmation projects, school service projects and more!

In regards to the question below, we don’t necessarily have a minimum age to volunteer but I have included the most common age.

PIFB typically does one project each year to send baseball and softball equipment to kids in Israel. Although the group receiving the equipment often determines what their greatest needs are in terms of equipment and takes that with them, we are happy to let them know that the gear you collected is for them if you choose to do so!

Minimum Age to Volunteer:

13
