Description of Organization:

ALEH believes that all individuals, regardless of the severity of their physical or cognitive disabilities, have the right to benefit from the best available care in order to reach their full potential.

ALEH is dedicated to offering them a comprehensive solution – including residential, medical, rehabilitative, educational and social services – in a dignified, warm and loving atmosphere that recognizes them as individuals with abilities, feelings and needs shared by all human beings.

Bnai Mitzvah Projects or Volunteer Opportunities offered by the organization for children ages 11 - 13:

Volunteers are an intrinsic part of the ALEH family, enriching the lives of ALEH’s children with their enthusiasm and love. For their part, our hundreds of volunteers can attest to the difference the children have made in their lives, impacting them immeasurably.

ALEH has a multitude of volunteer opportunities to meet each individual’s skill set, preferences, and availability.

At ALEH Negev, volunteers are placed in residential units where they will quickly become integrated with the staff. The tasks range from care-giving and supervision to assistance with activities and education. Your professional background and experience can be taken into consideration in deciding work placement. A minimum commitment of 4 weeks is required.

At ALEH Moriah – Gedera, volunteers will be accepted based on their professional background and experience, an effort will be made to place the volunteer in his or her field of work and expertise. Volunteers will be accepted for a minimum of 10 weeks at ALEH-Gedera.

ALEH Jerusalem offers a real hands-on experience with our ALEH children, which is why acceptance of volunteers is dependent upon a commitment of two months or more.

Minimum Age to Volunteer:
