Due to COVID-19 and the Coronavirus pandemic this and all in person programs have been canceled or postponed until further notice. A wide array of resources are available at http://bit.ly/2wU5CTS.
Areyvut is pleased to once again offer H.O.P.E. (Helping Organizations Provide Essentials), a Jewish Teen Philanthropy program to 7th graders at Yeshivat Noam in Paramus, NJ.
Participants contribute $100 and work as a board to determine community needs, develop a mission and ultimately allocate those funds. They will impact each other, the community and learn and develop skills that encourage them to give thoughtfully throughout their lives.
Since 2007, Areyvut’s Jewish Teen Philanthropy programs have engaged more than 245 participants, allocated $49,700 to over 30 non-profits.
We are thrilled to once again partner with Yeshivat Noam on this exciting program and are confident it will be a meaningful and exciting program for all those involved.
Session 4: Review of Organizations
Students will be presented with organizations that fit the area of focus they would like to address as indicated in their mission statement. Participants will review information about these organizations and compare the organizations’ needs with their mission statement and the area they are looking to support. By the end of this session the group will select which organizations they want to invite to send RFPs.
