Session 2: RFP Review & Determine Agencies for Site Visits

Participants will review the RFPs and collaboratively determine which organizations they would like to invite for a site visit. No more than three organizations will be invited to attend the site visit.

Chesed Begins at Home: Building on Areyvut’s Jewish Teen Philanthropy programs to date that have engaged more than 250 participants, allocated $49,700 to over 30 non-profits and run during the academic year Chesed Begins at Home is a new summer program offered to incoming 8th and 9th graders.

Participants will work as a Teen Board to determine community needs, develop a mission and ultimately allocate those funds. They will impact each other, the community and learn and develop skills that encourage them to give thoughtfully throughout their lives.

Our Host: We are grateful to the Young Israel of Teaneck for their hospitality, ongoing support and partnership.
