Please join us for 5 Days/5 Ways, our first Annual Chesed Camp!

All students entering Middle School (that’s incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders) are invited to participate in a week-long camp where we will travel around to different sites each day bringing joy and spreading kindness to those in need. 5 Days/5 Ways is a coed program. It promises to be a fun, meaningful and engaging camp that will last well beyond the summer.

Learn how to be a Mitzvah Clown and bring a smile to people’s faces! Help clean trails and beautify and protect the environment! Read to younger children and bring the joy of books to others! Camp will meet each day from 9:00 to 4:00. We are pleased that camp will be based at Friends of Lubavitch of Bergen County (the Chabad of Teaneck) located at 513 Kenwood Place and we thank them for their partnership.

Each day will have a theme and throughout the week participants will volunteer for, do hands on projects to benefit and interact with more than 15 local and Israel based agencies. The themes for 5 Days/5 Ways will be:

Monday: Hunger and Poverty
Tuesday: Israel
Wednesday: Caring for the Sick and Elderly
Thursday: The Environment
Friday: Intergenerational Understanding

To reserve a spot for your child please complete this form and send in a check for $360 made payable to Areyvut. Checks can be sent to:

147 South Washington Avenue
Bergenfield, NJ 07621

Please note that to make 5 Days/5 Ways viable and meaningful for all those involved we need to have a core group. In the event that we don’t have enough participants we will let you know.

Any cancellations before July 15 will receive $300 back and after that time no refunds will be given.

The program will led by Alisa Danon Kaplan and Daniel Rothner, seasoned educators who between them have over 40 years of experience in planning, facilitating and implementing such programs.

By participating in this program you give Areyvut permission to post pictures or video clips on the Areyvut website, social media channels and to use for PR purposes.

The online registration is for those who want to support this unique and important camp. All sponsors are greatly appreciated and their partnership will facilitate this important program.

For more information, please contact Daniel Rothner, Areyvut, Founder & Director at daniel@areyvut.org or 201-244-6702.
