Breaking the Chain Through Education is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate child slave trafficking in Ghana. So far they have rescued and continue to educate 76 children who were formerly trafficked as slaves in Ghana’s fishing industry.
Camp Sunshine provides retreats combining respite, recreation and support, while enabling hope and promoting joy, for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families through the various stages of a child’s illness. Camp Sunshine has the distinction of having been designed to serve the entire family in a retreat model. The program is offered year round and is free of charge to families and includes; on-site medical support, meals, lodging, activities, entertainment, etc. Travel assistance is also available.

Cell Phones For Soldiers is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to serving troops and veterans with free communication services and emergency funding. The organization was founded in 2004 by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist at the ages of 12 and 13. To date, Cell Phones For Soldiers has provided more than 300 million minutes of talk time to our troops serving around the world through the Minutes That Matter program, and we continue Helping Heroes Home via emergency funds that so far have assisted more than 3,100 veterans.

With over 40 programs and services, including a food pantry, eviction prevention, emergency loans, and job placement, we provide vital assistance to over 4,000 individuals a year.
Children of Promise, NYC works to embrace children of incarcerated parents and empower them to break the cycle of intergenerational involvement in the criminal justice system. Our innovative model was developed to address the specific emotional trauma that can be triggered by losing a parent to incarceration. CPNYC is the only agency in NYC that co-locates a licensed mental health clinic with an after-school program and summer day camp, seamlessly providing access to therapeutic services and youth development all under one roof.
