Tara Parker-Pope, in The New York Times, published this article about creating mission statements for ourselves rather than New Years resolutions. When we ask ourselves questions like, “How do I want people to describe me?” and “What are my deepest values?” we can come up with answers that enable us to see our ultimate purpose that we want to work towards and achieve. These mission statements we create can then help us actualize the New Years resolutions we left by the wayside initially. We applaud this article which puts a more practical and valuable spin on improving ourselves for the New Year! When we realize the things we value most, we can make our lives more valuable.
