I Have a Cold

Posted on November 5, 2014

I have a cold. You may be thinking why am I sharing this with you. That’s a valid question. The reason is because we must always treat others the way we want to be treated. At a meeting this morning I informed a colleague that I had a cold and therefore didn’t want to shake their hand. I didn’t want them to get sick. It’s not fun for me when I am sick and wouldn’t want others to have that experience if it’s avoidable. We must always be sensitive to others and treat them the way we want them to treat us. The colleague appreciated my sensitivity and was fine with a fist pump.
