#BringBackOurBoys

Posted on June 16, 2014

By now you have all heard the tragic news of the kidnapping of three Israeli teens- Gilad Shaar, Naftali Frenkel, and Eyal Yifrah. These young men were last seen and heard from on Thursday, June 12th, when they were on their way back from Yeshiva in Gush Etzion. Prime Minister Netanyahu has since confirmed that Hamas is behind the kidnapping and has demanded the return of our boys with the statement, “Anyone trying to harm Israeli civilians will be harmed in return.”

It is frustrating to know of this tragedy, to know of the pain and anguish of the families and to the Jewish people living in Israel, and to be so far away and feel so helpless. If you are looking for ways to help, please consider the following:

1. Pray. We are all Jews. This is what we do. Pray for the return of our boys swiftly, speedily, and soon.
2. Sign the petition that is circulating to show our government that we need them to use all means necessary to support Israel in their search.
3. Write letters of support to the families of Gilad, Naftali, and Eyal.
4. Make donations to organizations that support Israeli soldiers who are currently working around the clock to find our boys: FIDF, Connections Israel, Yashar LaChayal, Standing Together and A Package From Home.

“A song of Ascents, I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains; from whence will my help come? My help cometh from God, who made the heaven and earth…the Lord shall guard thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and forever.” (Psalms 121)
