A Day in the Life of Areyvut

Posted on August 14, 2013

In case you’re wondering what exactly Areyvut does on a daily basis to impact others, I wanted to share with you a few things that happened recently one day at Areyvut.  We first helped a Bat Mitzvah celebrant personalize her Mitzvah Project so that she can infuse her party with meaning and engage her guests in helping others.  Next we aided a senior citizen who wanted to help others and found different volunteer opportunities that would work for him.  Then, after hearing from a young leadership group from a synagogue on the Upper West Side in New York City, we guided them in finding different leadership opportunities appropriate for their group.

These are just three things that Areyvut did one day to help others participate in chesed, tzedakah and tikkun olam.  For more information about Areyvut and to get involved, please visit our website at www.areyvut.org.
