In Chattanooga, Tennessee, there are two new camps that teach participants about giving to others. The Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga and the Chattanooga First Church of the Nazarene are going to co-host a Philanthropy Camp and Camp Tikkun Olam, that are geared towards helping out in the community.
The more programs like this, the better. Educating students about these core Jewish values while they are young is what Jewish education is all about. What a profound and meaningful way to spend the summer!
