Today the Areyvut staff embarked on a mitzvah mission of our own. As a way to show our appreciation for all that they do we brought pizza to four different fire stations in Teaneck. This is especially meaningful in light of recent events in Arizona, and is an easy and meaningful way to thank the firefighters for putting their lives on the line for others. Firefighters live and breathe chesed every day of their lives, which is truly inspiring for all of us.
The firefighters were extremely appreciative for the pizza, even though it was such a small gesture in comparison with what they do every day. This was a great experience for all of us, and it showed us that even little acts of kindness can make a big impact.
