At the business school at Stanford University, before students learn about business, Ms. Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen teaches them about philanthropy. Here Ms. Arrillaga-Andreessen, a lecturer at the university, discusses the importance of understanding and learning about philanthropy in order to donate and give in the most effective way.
Often, people mistakenly think that it does not matter how you give, as long as you give. While of course giving is an amazing thing to do, our giving could help so many more people in a more effective way if we spread knowledge of how to give. At Areyvut, we believe in the importance of educating people about philanthropy in hopes that our efforts will lead to more effective giving.
