Teach philanthropy in schools

Posted on February 4, 2013

Governor Malcolm McCusker of Australia wants to make philanthropy part of the national curriculum.  He feels that it is very important to make sure that children  become community-minded and know the importance of giving to others.  These lessons should not be left to chance, but should be inserted within today’s educational curriculum.

We agree and think that doing so will have a profound impact.

Here at Areyvut, we run our own teen philanthropy program, called H.O.P.E., at Yeshivat Noam.    We whole-heartedly believe in the importance of educating students of their ability to help and give to others. Click here to watch the end of the year video.
