Happy Thanksgiving! We are participating in American Express Small Business Saturday and have promoted it, sent out an e-mail to donors encouraging them to participate and use this easy and quick opportunity to support Areyvut during this challenging time. After receiving e-mails from other agencies and businesses promoting their participation in this program I realized that not everyone has the same information. In an effort to protect you and us I have spent time this morning speaking with my friends John, Anna, Pamela and Martina at AMEX. So here is the deal: Nonprofits are eligible to participate and you can donate on Saturday following the instructions below. To facilitate your donations and participation the Areyvut office will be open on Saturday night from 7-9 PM. If you have any questions please call us at (201) 244-6702.
I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank and acknowledge Martina from AMEX in Phoenix for her help in navigating this and in ensuring that we are in compliance with the official regulations and that you will are receive your credits. I would also like to inform the powers that be at AMEX that I am happy to help them promote this important program next year and would love to work together to develop a special promotion to benefit charities.
Small Business Saturday is that day between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It’s a day where you can get out, shop locally and support a small business (or in our case, nonprofit)…like us!
American Express hosts Small Business Saturday and it can benefit both you and Areyvut. Donate $25 to Areyvut using your AMEX card on November 24th and AMEX will credit your account on your next statement. You can give as much as you would like and can earmark it for general operating expenses or for a particular program but will only get a credit for $25 from AMEX. Follow these steps to participate:

On Saturday make the first $25 you spend on your enrolled American Express Card go towards Areyvut at no cost to you.
