A Lesson Learned from Generation Next

Jessica Toledano, in her article, “A Lesson Learned from Generation Next,” is initially skeptical of the “it” generation which is young and motivated and technology-driven.  She discusses her experience at the Philanthropy Leadership in Training Camp and how she “couldn’t have been more wrong” about Generation Next.  The teenagers at the camp took initiative and learned about philanthropy and the non-profit community.  It’s important for all of us to focus on engaging and empowering Generation Next, a generation we can expect great things from.  We here at Areyvut work with Generation Next on a daily basis and can bear witness to the great things that they have accomplished.  We hope to launch our own camp such as the one mentioned in this article in the future which also will encourage teens to focus on chesed, tzedakah, and tikkun olam.
