Yaakov Hawk
 
Yaakov is a 15 year old student and sophomore at Davis Renov Stahler (DRS) Yeshiva High School for Boys in Woodmere, NY.  In 2009 Yaakov started an organization called, Philanthropy For The Future.  This organization empowers teens to make a difference.  To date, Philanthropy For The Future has contributed over 4,000 man hours, thousands of dollars and over tens of thousands of dollars in goods.
 
Yaakov's organization has raised over $2,000 for organizations, thousands of dollars of goods for the Haitian relief effort and donated over 300 gifts for various Chanukah toy drives.  Through Philanthropy For The Future and other organizations that Yaakov is involved with including: Ohel, Friendship Circle, Levi Yitzchok Library, Masbia, NCSY and Jep, he has volunteered over 600 hours in the last year.

"My role model, would have to be the selfless Philanthropy For The Future volunteers who will graciously give up their vacation days to do a chesed and do stuff for people other than themselves on their free day."
