Dana Horowitz
Dana is a 15 year old student in the 10th grade at East Brunswick High School. She lives in East Brunswick, NJ with her family. In 2008 when she was 12 years old, Dana created a website about how to be an eco-friendly teenager, www.beagreenteen.org. Her website contains facts, a quiz, a survey and a page to comment or contact her. One section of Dana's website gives ideas about how to have a green party. For her Bat Mitzvah, Dana did whatever she could to make it as green as possible. The food was vegetarian, the invitations were made from recycled paper, the kids' t-shirts were organic, and more. Everything she did to make her celebration green is listed on her website. Dana continues to update her website as much as possible to inspire other teens to help make this planet a better place.
