Mission:
 Promoting the independence of people of all ages who are blind and providing support to their families and caregivers.


Organization Description:
 VISIONS is celebrating 85 years of service at VCB VISIONS Center on Blindness, a residential rehab and training center serving the tri-state area; in home rehab and volunteer services; VISIONS at Selis Manor, a community center for blind youth, adults and seniors; Blindline, a call center and database; caregiver support and intergenerational programs.  VISIONS was chosen as a Great Nonprofit in the disability category in 2010.

Fun Fact: Children and youth who are blind love activities that are tactile like playing with sand, clay, using textured materials, sandpapering wood, etc.


How Can I Help? 
Collect eyeglasses for recycling; collect travel size toiletries for overnight participants who forget to bring toothpaste, shampoo, soap, combs, brushes, etc.; collect new toys that have sounds and music; make a financial contribution for children and youth (who are blind) programs.
