Bonim Builders
October 2009
Organization: Bonim Builders
Mission: Bonim's mission is to refurbish and beautify homes for impoverished families who cannot afford to maintain the upkeep of their own homes.
Organization Description: Bonim was formed in 2002 by passionate members of the Jewish community who were committed to addressing the problem of lack of affordable housing in New Jersey. To correct this problem volunteers, regardless of their skill level, come together to lend a hand to improve the quality of life for those who need it. Bonim Builders works on its own or collaborates with other refurbishing organizations such as Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity. With the help of hundreds of volunteers Bonim Builders is fortunate to renovate homes free of charge for families in the Jewish community who cannot afford to do it themselves.
Fun Fact: Bonim is the Hebrew word for builders.
