Eligibility: Applicants must be students in the 5th through 10th grades during the 2011-2012 academic year. Videos must be 2-7 minutes in total length.

Judges: Videos will be judged by a panel of Areyvut staff members, board members, previous winners as well as outside experts. Winners will be chosen based on the video essay's description of the project and its impact, and on its uniqueness and overall quality.

Rules: All entrants (or parents and/or guardians thereof) give permission for Areyvut to reprint, publish or otherwise disseminate their name, entry, city and state with regard to this competition. Winners will be asked to provide a photo and permission to use it. Areyvut is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected mail or e-mail. Entries become the property of Areyvut. Winning video essays will be posted on the Areyvut website, YouTube Channel and/or other websites to promote the contest and publicize winners. Areyvut may also submit press releases to national and hometown(s) publications of the top 3 finishers. Winners will be notified by January 27, 2012 and will be notified by phone and/or e-mail and by US Postal Service and will be announced on the Areyvut website. Entrants free Areyvut from any and all liability whatsoever in connection with this competition.
