TPI: Bergen
Congratulations to the following organizations that received funds from TPI: Bergen! A total of $10,000 in funding was allocated to organizations servicing the Bergen County area.

Community FoodBank of New Jersey - $5,000 Kids Cafés: Provide a warm, nourishing evening meal to children, most of whom live in communities where the poverty rate is more than twice the poverty rate for the state and nation.
BackPack Program: Provides supplemental food on weekends to elementary school children identified by school personnel as being chronically food-insecure. Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County - $1,600 Waldwick Project: Provides funding to build four new homes for families in need of affordable housing as well as mentoring and economic education for the new homeowners until they become financially secure.
Jewish Family Service of Bergen County and Northern Hudson - $1,600 Hunger Assistance Program (HAP) Expansion: This program aims at increasing the food supply to the JFS’s Emergency Food Pantry as well as cultivating and maintaining new volunteers.
Music For All Seasons - $1,800 Professional Performances for Hope & Healing: To provide one year of programming (i.e. music and expressive therapy programs) and research in the Bergen County shelter for domestic violence. |
