HANC Chesed Fair

| Areyvut ran a chesed fair for the elementary school students attending the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County (HANC) in West Hempstead, NY. The students created Shabbat candlesticks for those in need, paper flowers for the elderly and Shabbat-o-Grams to be sent to their friends and teachers. Many of the students also took time to decorate their very own tzedakah box that they could use at home and donate the money they collected to the charity of their choice. One of the most powerful projects the students became involved with was writing letters or sending pictures to Jewish-American soldiers serving in Iraq. |  |
