Kids for Kindness Fair a Great Success!

On August 21st there were big things going on in Deal, NJ! Areyvut and Magen David Yeshivah of Brooklyn, NY coordinated "Kids for Kindness", a day devoted to chesed for children and teenagers. Over 600 students participated in the day's activities. Children were given the opportunity to work on hands-on projects that would benefit 11 different organizations. From creating tissue paper flowers sent to elderly nursing home residents to making friendship bracelets sent to Israeli soldiers to telling jokes for a video joke books for pediatric cancer patients there was a lot to do and a fun time was had by all.
Older children and teenagers were given the chance to learn about a variety of volunteering opportunities in their neighborhood. Over 20 representatives from more than 15 organizations were on hand to speak with the students about volunteering and fundraising opportunities for U.S. and Israel based agencies.
