Areyvut Archives

On October 5th Areyvut and the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades held its second annual Community Service and Mitzvah Expo.

Teens were given the opportunity to find a way to give of themselves, impact their community and make a difference in the world.  Students interested in pursuing a mitzvah project for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah were given the chance to meet with representatives from over 20 different agencies.  They were able to learn about volunteering and fundraising opportunities. 

Younger children were given the chance to partake in on-site hands-on chesed projects including: decorating tzedakah boxes, creating tissue paper flowers for the elderly and friendship bracelets.

An enjoyable time was had by all!
