Areyvut is pleased to partner with Temple Shaaray Tefila and the Met Council on Jewish Poverty on this important project.
Extend the Mitzvah of your child’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Is the suit your child wore for his/her Bar/Bat Mitzvah sitting in your closet, never to be worn again? Then please donate it to Mitzvah² (Mitzvah Squared).
We are collecting suits, shoes, blouses, shirts, shoes and accessories that were worn for Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations and creating a shopping day for Bnai Mitzvah that don’t have something special to wear for their special day.
The special shopping day will be held in Brooklyn later this month.
To donate clothing and/or to volunteer for the shopping day please contact the Areyvut office at 212-813-2950 or daniel@areyvut.org. Letters for tax purposes will be provided upon request.
We would like to thank Nancy Robbins who spearheaded this effort and Met Council who is helping to store the clothes prior to the shopping day.
