Gush Katif

August 2005

A number of organizations are collecting funds for former residents of Gaza and Northern Shomron, both for their short-term needs, and in order to help them rebuild their lives elsewhere. Many of the families have become dependent—at least temporarily—on the generosity of others, as they still do not have arrangements for employment, permanent housing, or schooling for their children. Your contributions will make a real difference in the quality of their lives.

Educational Resources

Other organizations have created resource material to help educators respond to the disengagement.

Association of Modern Orthodox Day Schools and Yeshiva High Schools (AMODS) has made available several items appropriate for a school assembly or Yom Iyun responding to the disengagement. They are available at https://msdcs.ac.yu.edu (the materials are under library resources).

Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI): www.jafi.org.il/education/actual/conflict/disengagement/index.html

You can send cards and letters of support to the families to:

Rav Yitzchak Neriyah
Yeshiva High School of Or Etzion
Mercaz Shapira Israel 79411

We will continue to update these resources relating to the disengagement as they become available, so please check this page frequently.
