Gali Girls: Gali Girls were created to give young Jewish girls an opportunity to incorporate positive values into their doll play. While the majority of dolls in today's market focus on fashion, makeup and boyfriends, Gali Girls reinforce the positive values that have kept Jewish tradition alive and growing for over 5,000 years. Gali Girl values represent kindness, respect, and honesty, to name a few. Gali Girl accessories create a connection between the contemporary Jewish girl and her heritage. Thus our motto: "Learn through play the Jewish way."

The Gali Girls Jewish History Series captivates and educates the young reader about different Jewish communities throughout the ages and throughout the world. From Russia, to China, to Ethiopia, and beyond, each book tells the story of a young, brave Jewish girl, who overcomes the challenges she encounters by relying on Jewish values, Jewish community, and a very strong sense of self.

Jewish Community Center in Manhattan: The Tween Department of the JCC in Manhattan in conjunction with Areyvut is working with Bnai Mitzvah and their parents to incorporate chesed and tzedakah projects into their celebration. Both the JCC and Areyvut believe that encouraging Bnai Mitzvah individually and with their families to get involved in thinking of how to help others while celebrating is a meaningful and significant part of the process. The JCC and Areyvut are working with day schools, congregational schools and the entire community to offer panel discussions, special programs and resources to help them address this topic with their students.

For more information about the ‘Tween Department of the JCC in Manhattan please contact Matthew Lacks, Director of ‘Tween Programs at mlacks@jccmanhattan.org or

Learning to Give: Learning to Give seeks to perpetuate a civil society by educating K-12 students about philanthropy - giving, serving and voluntary citizen action intended for the common good.

Areyvut and Learning to Give have initiated a strategic partnership to teach philanthropic values, citizenship skills, and knowledge about the role of the voluntary sector to the next generation. To that end Areyvut and Learning to Give will:
  • Add a component on the Jewish perspective on giving and service to the Learning to Give web-site.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for general and Judaic studies teachers on how to address giving and service from an interdisciplinary approach.
  • Expand the resources of Areyvut and LTG through the sharing of personnel, and expertise.
  • Develop content briefing papers and background materials on the Jewish perspective and religious traditions on giving and service.
  • Replicate and edit existing Learning to Give units, integrating Jewish religious and historic traditions into the lessons for Jewish educators.

Mummies and Masterpieces - A Program for the Enhancement of Classroom Curriculum through Museum Collections: Mummies and Masterpieces is pleased and honored to participate in a strategic partnership with Areyvut. Through this partnership, we look forward to reinforcing the concepts of Jewish values and tikkun olam through art history and hands-on art projects. First, we will utilize visual presentations and discussions on and about masterpieces of specific values. Second, we will provide opportunities for students to interpret and creatively explain these concepts by creating related hands-on art projects. We will encourage teachers to use these and other art projects for special chesed projects. Finally, we will educate teachers on implementing these ideas into their curricula.

For more information on Mummies and Masterpieces please visit their website at www.mummiesandmasterpieces.com or contact Lauren R. Perlman, Founder/Director, at laurenrperlman@yahoo.com or Elana Kaplan at elanakaplan@yahoo.com.
